Description of Role
The Social Media Services Instagram Coordinator is responsible for creating original content and coordinating content from various departments of STARFLEET for an account managed by the Dept. of Communications. Content would be directed/approved by the Social Media Services Director, the Chief of Communications, or the Deputy Chief of Communications. A well-developed plan for the account is an initial duty. Among other duties would be to engage with comments left on the site. Instagram will be a new endeavor for STARFLEET and will be the primary responsibility of this position. A written monthly report submitted to the Social Media Services Director and the Chief of Communications is required.
Skills Needed
*Excellent writing skills
*Two or more years of experience in social media usage and content writing
*Demonstrated understanding of Instagram and how it works
*Exceptional time management and interpersonal relationship skills
*Creativity to provide or secure appropriate content, or manage content provided by other departments of STARFLEET
Training Requirements (if applicable)
*Passage of OTS and all SFDPP courses to be current on certification. A reasonable amount of time will be allowed for taking the SFDPP courses if certification has not already been secured.
*Minimum of 1 year as a member in good standing of STARFLEET
*Must be over the age of 21
