Section 3 Deputy – Fleet Gaming and Live Events , STARFLEET Tactical

Description of Role
The Section 3 Deputy assists the Section 3 Chief in planning, organizing, and executing STARFLEET-wide gaming events and live broadcasts. This includes supporting livestreams, helping coordinate major Tactical initiatives such as charity gaming events, managing event logistics, and maintaining active communication with volunteers and participants. The Deputy plays a key support role and may lead specific projects under the supervision of the Section Chief.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in coordinating monthly and quarterly STARFLEET-wide gaming events across PC, console, and tabletop platforms.
• Help schedule and facilitate livestreams for Tactical’s Twitch channel, including charity marathons and special features.
• Support event logistics, including announcements, graphics, communication with participants, and post-event wrap-ups.
• Moderate and engage in event chats on Twitch, Discord, and Facebook to maintain a positive, inclusive environment.
• Assist with recruitment and coordination of stream hosts, moderators, and guest participants.
• Track participation and ensure event data is submitted for Tactical award consideration.
• Represent Section 3 at Tactical meetings or interdepartmental collaborations as needed.

This is a volunteer support position within STARFLEET International’s Tactical Auxiliary. The Section 3 Deputy plays a vital role in helping deliver Tactical’s signature gaming events and creating fun, engaging experiences for members across the fleet.

Skills Needed
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Basic experience with livestream platforms (Twitch, StreamYard) preferred
• Familiarity with Discord and Facebook for event promotion and moderation
• Ability to follow through on tasks and manage small projects independently
• Enthusiasm for gaming, community engagement, and SFI values
Training Requirements (if applicable)
• OTS (Officer Training School) – Required
• SFDPP (STARFLEET Data Protection Policy) – Must be current within 30 days of appointment
