1st Brigade Officer-in-Charge, SFMC

Description of Role
Forces Command, SFMC is now hiring a new 1st Brigade Officer-in-Charge (1BOIC), to lead the largest brigade in SFMC.

The “Fightin’ First” has a proud, storied history stretching back to the beginning of the STARFLEET Marines, and has 21 strike groups and expeditionary units, including a headquarters unit and staff, and 176 active and reservist Marine members, organized into eight battalions.

The 1BOIC will serve as subject matter expert for all things SFMC to the members in his or her brigade, and will coordinate activities and events for the brigade, including an annual muster; maintain open communications to and from Forces Command and the battalions and units; collect and summarize unit reports for inclusion in a bi-monthly brigade report; and regularly recognize the worthy efforts of the people in this command.

Applicants must be members of 1st Brigade.

This listing will close in 30 days. Afterward, a selection process whereupon a committee created by COFORCECOM, and made up of personnel from 1st Brigade (none of whom may be in consideration), will review and interview the applicants. Then, once a choice is made, the COFORCECOM and Region 1 Coordinator will confer and review for emplacing as Brigade OIC.

Skills Needed
The 1BOIC must have considerable leadership, organizational, and communications skills. As such, it is *required* that applicants for this position have prior or current experience as both Chapter Commanding Officer and MSG/MEU (or Battalion) Officer-in-Charge. Regular access to Discord and email for use as communications routes to and from Forces Command is a must, with Facebook a recommended route, and any such communications must be answered within 48 hrs or less. Ditto communications to and from brigade and units personnel.
Training Requirements (if applicable)
The successful candidate for this position will have the following courses completed: OTS, OCC, and PD-100; and must have a current SFDPP certification on file.

Additionally, it is highly recommended (but not required) to have completed OD100, OD102, OD151, PD130, UOS100, UOS300, UOS400, and UOS500.
