Dean, Institute of Medical Arts, SFA
| Description of Role | |
| Primary duties involve two areas: staff management and student interaction. Deans are required to work with the Directors in their institute in various areas, including training, curriculum development, and curriculum implementation. This includes careful review of all manuals and exams that are created in the institute. Deans are also required on occasion to deal with students, particularly if there are any issues between students and staff in their institute. Deans are required to collect the monthly status reports for their colleges and file a report for the institute monthly. There may be other duties as required by the SFA HQ staff. Assistant Deans assist the Deans with their duties, and need to be willing to serve as Dean on a temporary basis if needed; therefore, Assistants must be able to perform all of the above duties if required. As we are enhancing our Moodle operations, Deans and Assistants will be required to work with our Moodle team to offer exams through the Moodle system, along with other basic Moodle functions. | |
