| Description of Role | |
| The Chief of Heraldry is responsible for overseeing and safeguarding STARFLEET’s visual identity across the organization. This role serves as the primary authority on heraldry, logos, insignia, and branding standards, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and compliance with trademark and copyright requirements.
The Chief of Heraldry provides guidance and approvals for official visual materials, assists regions, auxiliaries, chapters, and officers with logo and heraldry development, and acts as a subject-matter expert on the STARFLEET Visual Standards Manual. The position works closely with the Commander, Vice Commander, Executive Committee, and affiliated departments to maintain a unified and legally compliant public image for STARFLEET. |

| Skills Needed | |
| trong graphic design and visual communication skills
Familiarity with branding standards, style guides, and visual identity systems Working knowledge of trademark and copyright compliance, particularly as it relates to fan organizations Attention to detail and consistency in reviewing and approving visual materials Ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically with members at all levels of the organization Organizational skills to manage requests, reviews, and reference materials Experience with vector graphics, logo design, or heraldic design is strongly preferred |
