Director, College of Special Operations Specalities

Department
Office of Educational Services
Description of Role
Primary duties involve two areas: college curriculum and student services. Directors must be able to keep their curriculum (exams, manuals, etc.) up to date, and should find ways to expand their colleges if possible. Directors must be able to grade student exams, provide certificates, and record grades in the membership database. Additionally, Directors are required to file monthly status reports and keep a personal database or spreadsheet with student grades. As we are enhancing our Moodle operations, Directors will be required to work with our Moodle team to offer exams through the Moodle system, along with other basic Moodle functions.
Skills Needed
Knowledge of Microsoft Office or Open Office (or similar, compatible program) is required; previous experience with Moodle not required, but must be willing to learn basic functions. Knowledge of, or willingness to learn Google Drive and associated programs is required. Additionally, good grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills are essential.
Training Requirements (if applicable)
BEFORE APPLYING, you must complete Officers Training School (OTS), and you must have current STARFLEET Data Protection Policy certification (SFDPP). Your application will NOT be considered until these things are completed. You will also have to complete test-out requirements for the college before you can be hired. These requirements will vary from college to college, and this will be discussed with all applicants; however it is STRONGLY encouraged that Directors and Assistant Directors complete ALL the courses in a college, rather than just the minimum. Please contact the SFA Commandant at sfa-academy@sfi.org or jazdansfa@gmail.com for questions or more information.
Age Requirements (if applicable)
18
