Event Coordinator – Section 2- STARFLEET Tactical

Description of Role
Starfleet Tactical is seeking an Event Coordinator for Section 2: Video Games to enhance team
engagement and improve gameplay skills through well-organized gaming events. This role requires
creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for gaming. The Event Coordinator will play a
pivotal role in creating an engaging and educational environment for players across Discord, PC,
and Xbox platforms.

Responsibilities
• Event Coordination:
o Plan, schedule, and coordinate regular gaming events for Section 2 players,
ensuring alignment with overall Tactical objectives.
o Host and moderate events on Discord and other gaming platforms.
o Collaborate with the Section 2 Chief to design events that promote teamwork,
strategy, and skill-building. (Star Trek Online for example)
• Player Support:
o Assist players in learning the mechanics of new games, mastering advanced
techniques, and improving overall gameplay.
o Provide one-on-one or group coaching sessions as needed.
o Act as a resource for troubleshooting technical issues related to game platforms or
setup.
• Community Engagement:
o Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages participation across all
skill levels.
o Engage with the gaming community to gather feedback on event preferences and
areas of improvement.
o Promote events through Starfleet Tactical channels to maximize participation.
• Administration and Reporting:
o Maintain a detailed schedule of gaming events and ensure proper communication
of event details to players.
o Prepare and present event performance reports to the Section 2 Chief and Director
of Tactical. This is important for tracking engagement of events and games.
o Stay informed of trends in the gaming industry to bring innovative ideas to the role.

Skills Needed
Requirements
• Strong experience with Discord, PC, and Xbox gaming platforms.
• Familiarity with a wide range of games, particularly tactical or team-based genres.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with players and team members.
• Passion for gaming and a commitment to fostering an inclusive community.
• Prior experience hosting or coordinating gaming events is a plus.
Training Requirements (if applicable)
OTS, SFDPP, (OCC Preferred)
