SFI Intelligence Senior Collections Officer

Description of Role
	The Senior Collections Officer is a pivotal member of the STARFLEET Intelligence (SFIN) team, responsible for the strategic gathering of intelligence and the sourcing of content for the SFIN newsletter. This role demands a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a talent for collaborative work. This role leads a research team for specialized projects at the request of the SFI membership. Key Responsibilities: ● Intelligence Gathering: ○ Conduct comprehensive research to collect relevant intelligence that aligns with SFIN’s mission and objectives. ● Content Sourcing: ○ Identify and curate compelling content that is informative and engaging for members, making that information available to the SFIN Editor-In-Chief. ● Collaboration: ○ Work closely with the SFIN Editor-In-Chief to ensure a steady flow of high-quality material for publication. ● Analysis and Reporting: ○ Analyze collected data to extract actionable insights and compile reports that contribute to the strategic goals of SFIN. ● Networking: ○ Build and maintain a network of contacts to facilitate the exchange of information and enhance the breadth of intelligence. ● Quality Assurance: ○ Uphold the integrity and accuracy of all sourced content, ensuring it meets SFIN’s standards and values. ● Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Skills Needed
	● Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and/or OpenOffice ● Be proficient in using Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets ● Have basic experience working with spreadsheets ● Familiarity with Mailchimp is a plus ● Have a working computer and internet access ● Have good communication skills
Training Requirements (if applicable)
	● Current SFDPP Certification ● Completion of OTS and OCC within two months if not already completed

	18
