SFMC Commandant

Description of Role
The Commandant serves as the top of the SFMC Chain of Command, appointed by the Director of Auxiliary Services (DAS) in consultation with the Commander, STARFLEET. Reporting to the DAS, the Commandant is responsible for the overall management of the SFMC and all its operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as a liaison between STARFLEET and the Corps.
Appointing all members of the General Staff.
Overseeing the Office of History.
Managing Corps financial matters and reporting on them to the membership.
Forwarding recommendations for promotions to the rank of Colonel and above to the STARFLEET Executive Committee.
Providing regular updates to the membership through official SFMC channels.
The Commandant is ultimately accountable for the actions of the General Staff and must ensure consistent communication with the SFMC membership.

Interpersonal: Capability to build and maintain relationships within the SFMC and SFI communities.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute plans that align with Corps objectives.
Organization: Managing complex tasks, deadlines, and initiatives efficiently.
Problem-Solving: Critical thinking to handle challenges proactively.
IT Proficiency: Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
Experience in Marine leadership roles or involvement in General Staff positions is highly desirable.

OTS, OCC, SFDPP
Age Requirements (if applicable)
