Regional Sciences Liaisons

Description of Role
STARFLEET Sciences (SFSCI) is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Regional Sciences Liaisons. The Liaisons serve as a direct connection between SFSCI and their Region chapters. They provide an important pathway to disseminate information region-wide and help the SFSCI staff understand how we can best serve the sciences needs of our members. We are looking for people who enjoy working with others and can help strengthen our connection with SFI members. These positions report to the Director of SFSCI.

Job duties include:

1. Submit brief monthly reports on Regional/Chapter Sciences activities
2. Promote all SFSCI events, challenges, and other important information to your Region
3. Solicit feedback from your Chapters on ways SFSCI can best serve them
4. Encourage Chapters to elect or appoint Science Officers
5. Promote Sciences’ membership and outreach within your Region
6. Contribute at least one Facebook post of scientific interest per month
7. Contribute one short article to SFSCI’s quarterly newsletter
8. Other duties as assigned by the Director of SFSCI
Skills Needed
Good communication skills are required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media (Facebook, Discord)
Ability to network.
Ability to work as a team member.
Training Requirements (if applicable)
OTS, SFDPP 101 and 102
